About Dichpally Ramalayam Nizamabad

Dichpally Ramalayam Nizamabad is also known as Kehilla Rama Temple and was built in the 14th century by Nizamabahadoor Khajuraho. Devotees should climb 105 steps to reach Sri Rama Temple.

It is one of the oldest temples in Nizamabad. The Dichpally Ramalayam temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, the incarnation of Vishnu, and is said to have been built by the Kakatiya kings.

The temple is also known as Indoor Khajuraho (Khajuraho of Nizamabad) due to its similarity in style and structure. It is the best example of stone architecture. The area which is surrounded by the temple is filled with water every year during the monsoon season and gives the temple a look just like an island.
