Koppal, officially known as Koppala district, is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka in India. According to the official district website, Koppal covers an area of about 5,570 sq km with a population of around 13,89,920, spread across 7 blocks and 629 villages, and is referred to as the “Rice Bowl of Karnataka.”
