Sakshi Ganapathi Temple: The Silent Witness of Devotion in Srisailam

About Sakshi Ganapathi Temple

Sakshi Ganapathi Temple is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha, situated amidst the scenic Nallamala Hills in Srisailam. It is situated approximately 2–3 kilometers east of the main Sri Bramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple.

Spiritual Significance

The term “Sakshi” translates to “witness” in Sanskrit. The black idol of Lord Ganesha holds a book in his left hand and a stylus in his right hand, signifying the act of recording the names of pilgrims who visit Srisailam. This rare portrayal makes the temple a unique representation of devotion and divine accountability.
