History

The foundation stone was laid on 14 January 2001 by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj in the presence of thousand devotees. The inauguration ceremony took place from 15 February to 17 February 2012. It took approximately 1000 artists about 12 years to build the temple complex. The cost of constructing this temple was 150 crore rupees.

It is constructed entirely of Italian marble, The total dimensions of the temple including its flag are 125 ft. high, 190 ft. long, and 128 ft. wide. The thickness of the walls of the garbha-griha(Main Shrine) is 8 ft to bear the weight of huge Shikhar, Swarna Kalash, and the Flag.

Prem Mandir (meaning Temple of Divine Love) is a Hindu temple in Vrindavan, in Mathura city of India. Spread over 55 acres of land, Prem Mandir is the most frequently visited religious site for couples, young, old, and people of all ages, who come here to get inspired by the eternal love of the ones who are perhaps the greatest examples of love and devotion in Indian mythology. This Temple is maintained by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, an international non-profit, educational, spiritual, a charitable trust.
