Bylakuppe Golden temple

About

Namdroling Monastery was constructed in 1963 in Bylakuppe. Bylakuppe was first constructed in the year 1961 by the eminent Lugsum Samdupling. It was later worked upon in 1969 by DickyiLarsoe. The Monastery came into being because of Drubwang P.N. Rinpoche. With over five thousand nuns and monks who are currently a part here, the renowned Tibetan Golden temple is surprisingly the biggest tutor of the ancient Buddhist lineage of the art of Nyingmapa.

Bylakuppe is conveniently established at the culturally rich Bylakuppe which boasts of being the 2nd most expansive settlement of the refugees from Tibet. The spectacular Golden Temple is one among the calmest religious places to visit in Coorg and it can be conveniently visited on the smooth route of Coorg and Bangalore.

Bylakuppe Golden temple has massive forty feet high pictures of the esteemed Guru Rinpoche, the worshipped Buddha Amitayus, and the renowned Buddha Sakyamuni. Apart from the prime location, the nearby Tibet University replica known as the Sera Monastery is a popular site here along with multiple monasteries scattered around which are lesser in grandeur. One of these 20th-century monasteries (TashiLhunpo) was the prime seating site of the eminent Panchen Lama.
