Zoological Park - Kota
Kota Zoo Park was established in the year 1905 by the then Maharaja of Kota. The forest area of the Hadoti region was rich in wild flora and fauna such as Tiger, Panther, Sloth bear, Hyena, Chinkara, Blue bulls, Sambar, Blackbuck, Jackal, Wolf, Otter, Star tortoises, and variety of Turtles, Peacocks, various kinds of Vultures, Crocodile and Ghariyal, etc. To entertain royal guest’s wild animals were kept in enclosures. These enclosures were built amidst gardens and fountains. These structures are so strong that they are intact even today. In the year 1954 control of Kota Zoo was taken up by DFO, Kota.
