Kukke Subrahmanya Temple

Kukke Subrahmanya is the abode of nagas. Here pooja is offered to Lord Subrahmanya Swamy merged with serpent king Vasuki. Hence, believed to be the ultimate solace for salvation from any sort of naga doshas. Thousands of devotees come here from far and wide to offer Sarpa Samskara, Nagaprathishta, Ashlesha Bali & other rituals.

Sri Kshetra is on the riverbank of Kumaradhara. Born to annihilate the demonic forces, Kumaraswamy killed Tarakasura and other Asuras in the battle to Kumaraparvatha with his sibling Ganapathi. Devendra had decided to give away his daughter Devasena to him on “Margashira Shudda Shasti”. Accordingly, the marriage took place on the banks of Kumaradhara Thirtha. Bestowing his grace on “Sarpa Raja” Vasuki, who was doing Thapasya at that time. Kumaraswamy assured to dwell along with Devasena in him. Since then, it is behind that Lord Shanmukha (Skanda) in his spiritual presence is residing with Vasuki in the shrine.

Kukke Subrahmanya, one among the seven holy places created by Parashurama is mythologically and historically famous for “Nagaradhane”. Residing with Vasuki, God Subrahmanya showers his divine grace on devotees as the presiding deity of the Kshetra. It is also called “Guptha Kshetra”. “Mruthika Prasada” given here is regarded as sacrosanct. The devotees believe that the holy bath in the Kumaradhara Thirtha and Madesnana eradicate dreaded diseases like leprosy. Diseases related to skin, the devotees firmly believe, get cured here. God Subrahmanya has earned the honorific title “Annadana Subbappa”. Thousands of devotees receive Annadana every day here. The devotees find solace here after performing “Sarpasamskara”, Naga Prathiste”, “Ashlesha Bali” for sarpa dosha, which causes barrenness/infertility, skin disease, blindness, bhoomidosha, etc. God Subrahmanya is the destroyer of the sorrows f innumerable Janmas receives the Sevas of devotees done with devotion and dedication and fulfills their wishes and hence in Kaliyugh hi is behind as “Prathyaksha God” Devaru.

ASHLESHA BALI

Seva fee ₹ 400 (Rupees four hundred only).

The Seva is open on all days except Ekadashi and Fast days.

Performed in 3 Shifts (7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 5:00 PM).

Obtain Seva receipt either before 7:00 AM for the first shift or before 9:00 AM for the second shift or before 5:00 PM for the third shift.

Report for Sankalpa by Purohita in the inner quadrangle of the temple.

Witness Homa and Poornahuthi and receive the Seva Prasada.

NAGAPRATHISHTA

Seva fee ₹ 400 (Rupees four hundred only).

The Seva is open on all days except Ekadashi and Fasting days.

Obtain receipt at the Seva Counter before 10:00 AM. report for Sankalpa by a Purohitha in the inner quadrangle of the temple.

Undertake Pradakshina and witness Poornahuthi of NAGAPRATHISHTA HOMA around 10.30 a.m.

Participate in the Nagaprathishta ceremony by the Archaka after MAHA POOJA around noon at the Nagaprathistha Mantapa in the outer Quadrangle.

PRARTHANA (Prayer)

Seva fee ₹ 100.00 (Rupees hundred only).

Performed at SHRI SUBRAHMANYA SANNIDHI after Mahapooja at 12:00 PM and 7:30 PM respectively.

The Seva is undertaken for “ISHTARTHA SIDDYS” like Marriage, Santhana Prapthi, Employment, Promotion, Progress, Health, ../assets like land, water, and relief from Chronic Skin Diseases and various mundane problems.

Obtain the Seva receipt and join the ‘Q’ around Garbha gudi.
