Lord Pendlimarri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in Pendlimarri and the idol of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy was installed during the period of Bukkaraya. Lord Narasimha is one of the incarnations of Lord Mahavishnu, which the Lord Manifested in the form with the head of a lion and the body of a man to kill the demon-king Hiranya-Kashyapa. After killing the demon couldn’t control his own like a nuclear bomb, so destruction had to intervene at the request of the Devas and stop Narasimha. It is believed that they did Abhishekam to Lord Narasimha Swamy with water brought from Veyinuthalakona to control his anger.
