Chukkapur Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in forest 3 kilometers to Chukkapur Village of Kamareddy district. The Deity present here is Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple along with Lakshmi Devi. The villagers believe that Lord fulfills their any wish.

According to the history, the temple was built 400 years ago during the Chola dynasty ruling period. In 2008 the temple was renovated. Here Narasimha swamy kalyanosthavam in Vaishaka masam was celebrated every year. People come from all around north telangana.

The Hindu mythology has a tale of Narasimha’s origin. Lord Vishnu takes the form of Narasihma in his fourth incarnation. Vishnu kills the demon Hiranyaksha during his Varaha avatar. Hiranyaksha’s brother was Hiranyakashipu. The death of this demon king is celebrated as Holi (the celebration of colors) in India, especially in the northern parts.

By Road: Kamareddy is the nearest city to Chukkapur village. 17.5 kms from kamareddy to chukkapur on the way to Siricilla road. 74kms from Nizamabad District. from kamareddy buses and autos are available.
