The Alaknanda Palace was built as a royal guest house. It was constructed in a plush style for the royal guests. It is set within a well laid out garden with walkways. Within the grounds of this palace, an airstrip has been built in recent years for use of the royalty. Now this palace is for 5th Battalion of the Andhra Pradesh Armed Reserve Police.
