Bidar is a hill top city in the north-eastern part of Karnataka in India. It is the headquarters of the Bidar district, which borders Maharashtra and Telangana. According to the official district website, Bidar district covers an area of about 5,448 sq km with a population of 17,03,300, spread across 635 villages and 7 municipalities.
