Mandya District

Mandya is an administrative district of Karnataka, India. The district is bordered on the south by Mysore and Chamarajanagar districts, on the west by Hassan District, on the north by Tumkur District and on the east by Bengaluru South district (formerly Ramanagara). It covers about 4,962 sq km and had a population of 1,805,769, spread across 2 revenue divisions, 7 taluks and 1,477 villages. Mandya is sometimes referred to as “SugarCane City”, reflecting its agricultural significance.
