About Rama Navami
Rama Navami is a Hindu festival which is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Lord Rama. The festival is usually observed on the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra masam. Along with Lord Rama, Goddess Sita Devi, Laxmana and Hanuman are also worshipped on this day. It is believed that Lord Rama was a reincarnation of Vishnu who descended to Ayodhya from heaven.

Vontimitta Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, Andhra Pradesh
Vontimitta Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Rama located in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. The images of Lord Rama, Sita Devi and Laxmana are carved on a single block of rock. The temple is built in Vijayanagara style of architecture. The temple is under Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam administration. Annual brahmotsavam will be be held during April month.

Ramaswamy Temple, Tamilnadu
Ramaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu located in Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu. The temple is located on the banks of river Kaveri. The uniqueness of this temple is that the main deity Lord Rama is in seating position with Sita Devi next to him. Shri Ram Tirath Temple, Amritsar
It is one of the most sacred places for Lord Rama devotees because this is the place where Sita Devi got shelter in the ashram of Valmiki muni and also the same place where she gave birth to Luv and Kush. The temple premises include a hut marking the birth place of Luv and Kush, a well where she bathed, and a large sacred tank which was said to be dug by Hanuman and 80 feet tall Hanuman statue. This place is also recognized as the sacred ground where the Ramayana was written. There is a Fair for 20 days on Kartika Purnima, when more than one lakh pilgrims visit. Pilgrims take bath in this pavitra sarowar and fulfilled their wishes.

Kodandarama Temple, Karnataka
It is one of the oldest Rama temples located in Chikmagalur, Karnataka. Idols of Lord Ram, Sita Devi and Laxmana preside in the Garbhagudi. The temple’s main attraction is Pakara, which is an enclosed area with images of Madhava, Sugriva, Yoganarasimha, Vedanta, Ramanujacharya, Deshika, and Muddukrishna. The images belong to the pre-Hoysala and Chalukya period. The temple is visited by devotees throughout the year and also hosts an annual celebration during February.
