Visakhapatnam District
Visakhapatnam is one of the 9 districts in the Coastal Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh, India. The headquarters is at Visakhapatnam. Historically, the Raja of Vizianagaram was slain in AD 1794 in a fight with the British East India Company’s troops at Padmanabham.
