Mancherial District
Mancherial District is one of the districts of Telangana state, carved out of the erstwhile Adilabad District, with its headquarters at Mancherial. The district is well connected by road and rail, and the Godavari and Pranahita rivers pass through it.
Places to visit in Mancherial District
- Gudem gutta Sri Satyanarayana Swami Temple — about 32 km from Mancherial, a pilgrim centre that draws large crowds during the Kartik month, with rituals held on the nearby Godavari river bank.
- Gandhari Khilla — a hill fort about 13 km from Mancherial near Bokkalagutta village, home to many plant and medicinal herb species and the venue for the annual Mahankali Jatara and the biennial Gandhari Maisamma jatara.
