Vizianagaram District
Vizianagaram is one of the districts in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, with its headquarters located at Vizianagaram. The district’s history includes the Bobbili–Vizianagaram battle of 24 January 1757, in which both warring sides paid a heavy price, and Vizianagaram Fort, whose foundation was laid by Vijayarama Raju I in 1713 A.D.
