Sangareddy district is a district located in the northern region of the Telangana state. Sangareddy (former: Sangareddy peta) is the district headquarters of Sangareddy district in Telangana. It was named after the ruler Sanga, who was the son of Rani Shankaramba, ruler of Medak during the period of Nizams.
