About Mulugu District

Mulugu is a district in the Telangana state. On 17 February 2019, it was formed by bifurcating the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, which was previously part of Warangal district. Mulugu district was formed along with Narayanapet district, making a total of 33 districts in Telangana state. According to the district’s official website, Mulugu covers an area of 3,881 sq km, has a population of 2,94,671, and its headquarters is at Mulugu. The district has 10 revenue mandals and 174 village panchayats.
