Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri is a district in Telangana with its headquarters at Bhongir town. It takes its name in part from Yadagirigutta, home to one of Telangana’s most visited temples.
Places to visit in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri
- Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta — one of the district’s most visited shrines, dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Narasimha (man-lion) form on a hill.
- Kolanupaka Temple — a Jain shrine in Kolanupaka village housing three idols, an important site for the district’s religious heritage.
- Bhuvanagiri Fort — a historic fort near the district headquarters, tied to Telangana’s history through several past conflicts.
- Surendrapuri — near Yadagirigutta, home to the Hanumadeswarar Temple and Kunda Satyanarayana Kaladhamaya, a space of Hindu temple-art exhibits.
